Originally wreaths were commonly made using wheat or other harvested plants & were called Harvest Wreaths. The harvest wreath would be hung year-round & it was hoped that this ritual would bring protection against crop failure throughout that year. In modern times Wreaths begun to be made from Rope to symbolise the strength of a family & also hung year-round in hope that protection was offered to the family of the house it hung on.
The Doors of Berry, not only make Rope Wreaths, but also make Preserved Boxwood Wreaths made of real foliage. They are preserved & then assembled by hand. The preservation process involves using a green vegetable dye & a chemical solution on the leaves. This allows the wreaths to last over 12 months. These wreaths are designed for indoor use but can be used outdoor with care.
